I joined TDIC in May 2009. Initially, I was organising leisure activities on Sir Bani Yas Island, and I then began working at the Hili Fun City amusement park in Al Ain. I was part of a team that oversaw the renovation of the park, which included the complete refurbishment of all the rides and facilities, as well as the creation of ten new attractions. I attended a talk at my university about career opportunities at TDIC, which is every engineer’s dream place to work. I applied because I knew they had experts in the field of architecture. At the Internal Audit department, I mainly manage all of TDIC's financial audits, including those of our joint venture hotels such as Fairmont, Park Rotana and Shangri-La. I have only been here a few months, but I have already been engaged in several assignments and TDIC initiatives. I feel that as the company's financials become public, my role will grow and become crucial, as I will be expected to report on the internal control environment of the financial reporting process.
